He has red-hued scales on his body that shimmer in the light, and always give off a large a mount of heat. In colder climates, if he were to travel through them, the heat from his scales would likely cause "steam" to be visible in the air around him. These scales are scalding hot to the touch, and are invulnerable to harm.
The marking on his chest - the blue and yellow horned sun - marks him as being of a bloodline with a close tie to the planet Yein (the sun of the Inner Dimension's solar system). It also marks him as one who is immune to cold and ice (his temperature cannot be altered, either), and allows for him to heal with fire (he can walk through flames and they'll heal him completely).
